Our Story
When we first started the property business we noticed that most of the student accommodations are poorly maintained making it difficult for students residing on them to have a successful studying, good social and mental environment. We then made an effort to dedicate our time to make an effective student accommodation with safety, cleanliness, and affordable accommodation and make a difference.
About Us
Metrorez is an off-campus student accommodation founded in 2014. We have about a total of 18 residences across the four cities which are, Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, East London, Queenstown, and Uitenhage.
Metrorez develops, owns, and manages student accommodation and we’re driven to consistently up-level the standards for the residence lifestyle in the Eastern Cape province.
Our spaces transform into vibrant communities where students can learn, stay, play, and connect. Our energetic on-site teams provide excellent service and dynamic hosting, adding a human touch that makes every student and staff feel at home and on their way to living their best life.
We pride ourselves in offering the best services, and aim to making Metrorez feel like a second home to our students.
The Mission
Our mission is to develop a future that’s brighter, happier, and way more connected with our students. We’re all about creating opportunities for our students to meet, make friends, and even spark creativity.
With a clear focus on security measures, there is 24/7 manned security, patrolling for every hour, and CCTV surveillance installed in all our buildings. We pride ourselves in creating residences where students can feel at home and have their productivity supported.
Well-maintained study areas, dedicated common areas such as kitchen, TV rooms, and uncapped Wi-Fi form part of the considered framework we keep in place, providing an ideal environment for students to concentrate their energies on coursework and develop confidence and independence.
Ensuring a safe and harmonious environment is a priority in our all-inclusive student lifestyle. Our house rules and guidelines, with in-house and on-site student representatives.

Our vision is to offer comfortable accommodation packaged with values that put us a step ahead in comfort and value.
We will not only maintain the facility to keep it safe and comfortable, but we will also respond to challenges as quickly as possible through our ‘MySpace‘, and we do our best to make it second to home.
